Ingredients
12 ounces Spaghetti
6 cloves Garlic, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
½ cup Olive oil (extra virgin recommended)
Salt, to taste
¼ cup Parsley, chopped
Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)
Instructions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until it becomes golden and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine. If the pasta seems dry, add a splash of reserved pasta water.
Season with salt and mix in the chopped parsley. Serve immediately topped with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
Notes
Monitor the garlic closely while sautéing to prevent burning; use high-quality olive oil for the best flavor.
