Ingredients

  • 1 pound broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil the water: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Cook the broccoli: Add the broccoli florets and cook for about 2-3 minutes, until tender but still crisp.
  3. Drain and set aside: Carefully drain the broccoli and let it sit to avoid overcooking.
  4. Melt the butter: In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  5. Sauté the garlic: Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  6. Combine broccoli and sauce: Toss the cooked broccoli in the skillet with the garlic butter.
  7. Season: Add salt, pepper, and lemon juice, if desired.
  8. Serve warm: Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy.

Notes

Fresh broccoli is preferred, but frozen can be used; adjust cooking time accordingly. Olive oil can replace butter for a dairy-free option.
