Elevate your grilling game with these flavorful steak marinades that ensure tender, juicy meat with minimal prep.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Combine the ingredients in a mixing bowl, whisking together soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, brown sugar, black pepper, and lemon juice until well blended.
  2. Prepare your choice of steaks—sirloin, ribeye, or flank—in a large resealable bag or a shallow dish.
  3. Marinate by pouring the marinade over the steak, ensuring each piece is coated well. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (up to 24 hours for deeper flavor).
  4. Preheat your grill over medium-high heat. Remove the steaks from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Discard the marinade.
  5. Grill the steaks for 4-7 minutes per side, depending on thickness and desired doneness. Use a meat thermometer for accuracy (130°F for medium-rare, 145°F for medium).
  6. Rest the steaks for 5 minutes before slicing to maintain the juices.

Notes

Let steaks come to room temperature before grilling and pat dry for better sear. Avoid marinating for more than 24 hours.
