Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • Chocolate candies (for spider legs)
  • Candy eyes (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure an even bake.
  2. Mix the yellow cake mix, peanut butter, vegetable oil, and eggs in a large bowl until the dough is well blended and smooth.
  3. Form the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, then roll them in granulated sugar.
  4. Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing the dough balls about 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden on the edges.
  6. Add chocolate candies onto the sides of each cookie for spider legs and place candy eyes on top while still warm.
  7. Cool cookies on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Mix just until incorporated to keep the cookies light and tender. Monitor the baking time closely to avoid drying out the cookies.
